We provide exclusive helicopter transfers between Davos and numerous locations across Switzerland and neighboring countries. In addition, we coordinate VIP flights, customs clearance, ground handling, and connecting flights with business jets.

From which locations can I fly to Davos during the WEF?

Accepted Answer

You can depart from any official airport or helipad in Switzerland. For individual pickups, approved off-site landings within Switzerland are also possible.

Question 3

Can I fly to Davos from abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes, flights from abroad are possible. A brief stop at a Swiss customs airport (e.g. Mollis, Samedan, Locarno, or Lugano) will be automatically included in the calculated flight time.

How long does a flight to Davos take?

Flight time depends on the departure location and the selected helicopter type. Typical flight durations are:

Mollis → Davos: approx. 20 minutes
Zurich → Davos: approx. 40 minutes
Basel → Davos: approx. 55 minutes
Bern → Davos: approx. 50 minutes
Geneva → Davos: approx. 85 minutes
Lugano → Davos: approx. 50 minutes
Altenrhein → Davos: approx. 25 minutes

Which helicopters are available?

Our fleet includes the Airbus H125, Airbus EC120 Colibri, and MD902 Explorer.  The H125 and EC120 can be operated as single- or multi-pilot flights, while the MD902 Explorer is flown exclusively in multi-pilot configuration.  All helicopters are configured for VIP flights and operated by experienced commercial pilots.

Where does the helicopter land in Davos?

During the WEF, we use the official Davos helipad, which operates exclusively for WEF transfers. Our crew arranges slot coordination and ground transportation directly to your hotel or meeting venue.

How does the booking process work?

Accepted Answer

Using our WEF Taxi Tool, simply select your departure and destination, enter your contact details, and instantly receive a personalized quote. We’ll then contact you to confirm the flight and finalize landing permissions.

Question 8

Can multiple passengers travel together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Depending on the helicopter type, up to five passengers can travel per flight. For larger groups, we can organize multiple helicopters or coordinated shuttle operations.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Accepted Answer

If weather conditions are not suitable, we’ll notify you in advance and propose alternatives – for example, a flight to a lower-altitude landing site followed by a VIP ground transfer to Davos.

Are the flights CO₂ compensated?

Accepted Answer

Upon request, we offset your flight’s emissions through certified Swiss carbon-offset projects. Please mention this when booking.

Does Linth Air Service also offer jet flights to the WEF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Together with our partners, we offer seamless jet-and-helicopter connections. Your jet can arrive in Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, or Zurich, and we’ll coordinate the direct helicopter transfer to Davos.

Is Linth Air Service an official helicopter operator?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are a Swiss FOCA (BAZL)-approved Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holder with our own Part-145 maintenance organization, based in Mollis (GL).

Can I book a flight on short notice?

Accepted Answer

Short-notice bookings are generally possible, but due to high demand and operational constraints during the WEF, availability cannot always be guaranteed. We recommend booking early to secure your slot.

What payment methods are available?

Accepted Answer

We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and – upon request – invoicing for registered corporate clients.
